Seguriexpo Buenos Aires 2011 reaffirmed itself as an excellent
platform to present new products and services 7,856
businessmen, users and professional visitors of the
sector took part of the fair Seguriexpo Buenos Aires ended
with excellent results and
overcame the expectations both of visitors and exhibitors. During the
fair, the main players of the Security sector's national and
international market attended a unique meeting for the sector. 106
exhibiting companies came from the following countries:
Germany, Argentina, Brazil, China, United States, England and
Mexico. Throughout the three-day fair 7,856 businessmen, users
and professional visitors experienced a variety offer of academic
activities and met the most important companies with its products,
services and expertise. In the opening ceremony, Messe Frankfurt
Argentina’s President, Mr. Fernando Gorbarán, highlighted that: “Today
we celebrate 10 years of Seguriexpo, which has accompanied the safety
market since 2002 in order to position it from Buenos Aires, from
Argentina, for South America as a whole. Undoubtedly, it is an
undisputed meeting point, a point of trends, of news, the chance for
businessmen to show us the best of art and technology in such a
sensitive subject as it is safety for all citizens throughout the world.”
Furthermore, the President of the Argentine Chamber of Electronic
Safety (CASEL), Mr. Marcelo Colanero, said that: “This edition
allows us to have professionalism and a technological scope to be
enjoyed both by the sector and the final user.” Regarding future
projections he said: “We think that a fair is what the market needs to
show its products and services, to make a face-to-face contact
between the exhibitor and the user, we believe we can go on growing
because we are already under this way.” The Minister of Justice
and Safety of the city of Buenos Aires, Dr.
Guillermo Montenegro, was also present in the fair and stated that
for official bodies: “Current solutions in terms of technology and
software will make the difference in the future for all safety systems
that should be accompanied by a very good human resource apart
from the technological resource and, for this reason, we deem that
training is essential.” The Minister highlighted the commitment and
daily work of exhibitors when he remembered that: “Three years ago,
technology had nothing to do with what we are showing now and this is
due to the contribution of companies that are exhibiting here today,
many of them from the national industry. This way, a virtuous circle is
created in order to improve the quality of products and, from this
point, we will improve the quality of the service to citizens. For this
reason, it is important that we can supplement from the public sector
all the actions and human resources with the technological and material
part supplied by the private effort you are doing.” Once the
opening ceremony had finished, the traditional ribbon
cutting ceremony was done with the presence of the President of the
Argentine Chamber of Safety (CAS), Mr. Alberto Ruibal, which
together with CASEL and Messe Frankfurt Argentina will organize
next year Intersec Buenos Aires 2012. Then, the official visit of the
fair began. Regarding academic activities, during Thursday and Friday,
a large
scope program was carried out. Free-access conferences and
technical talks were offered and their main subjects were the
following: safety in electrical installations, electronic safety for
country clubs and private neighborhoods, applications and uses of
thermal cameras, public policies in terms of safety, IP video solutions
and access controls. All kind of products and devices related to
biometrics and domotics were also exhibited, as well as monitoring
software, automation, detectors, alarms, cards, sensors, among other
news. Another great attraction was ASIS International Conferences.
The event organized by Chapter ASIS 215 in Argentina took place the last
day of Seguriexpo and 80 safety professionals took parto in it. The aim
of the meeting was to show how safety measures are selected, design,
implement and manage in order to reduce the loss risk.
Furthermore, for the main businessmen of the industry to enter the
exporting circuit and strengthen existing commercial relationships, it
took place the 4th International Matchmaking Program for Buyers of
Safety Products and Services organized by Messe Frankfurt
Argentina together with Fundación ExportAr and
PROARgentina. We had foreign visitors coming from Bolivia, Chile,
Ecuador and Peru, which held a total of 54 meetings with 21 companies of
the national industry in order to exchange information and news on
access controls, intrusion and monitoring, safety video cameras, cards,
monitoring and GPS, fire detection and extinguishing, and physical
safety, among other subjects. Some of the exhibiting companies made
comments on the balance of their presence in the fair: ADT
Vanina Mendiondo, Sales Manager – Vertical Markets & Global
Accounts
“We find a very atomized audience that gathers the targets we are
looking for this fair, especially are the great industries, those which
require integral solutions in electronic safety both in fire, CCTV,
accesses and intrusion and, on the other side, those installers or
potential agents that may work in any type of installation that requires
this type of systems.” ARG Seguridad
Eng. Gustavo Magnífico, Managing Partner
“It was a pleasant surprise for us to receive many visitors which
are
our customers, which have been working with us and came to see
some options but also to visit us. We met a lot of new customers or
prospects, from the sector, which is our target audience. (...) We had a
great affluence of consultants asking for new technologies, and we were
able to clear out doubts since we came here to present new products and
part of our daily portfolio related to IP technology,
intrusion systems and web monitoring.” DRAMS TECHNOLOGY
Eng. Daniel A. Schapira, President
“It is a fair which is very well oriented to the sector, which is
what we are looking for. The audience level is very good, not only in
terms of quantity but also as regards the level of participants. This
makes the number of contacts we have got from this fair really positive.
(...) Our intention is to take part again in next editions of
Seguriexpo, since our balance is highly satisfactory.”
PANASONIC
Roger De La Hoz Zorro, Engineer – Sales Support
“For Panasonic is very important to take part in this type of
events
because it allows us to present our products to customers, attract
potential prospects, buyers and present all the news we have in our
product line. (...) Regarding the profile of the people that have
attended the fair, we received the visit of final users as well as
companies. We have oriented them in the best way to our distributors but
we consider important that they have had the possibility to see our
product working. (…) In general terms, the fair went well, we have had
very good experiences and very good contacts.” SIMICRO
Eng. Gregorio Aspis, President
“Electronic safety in Argentina is equivalent to the highest
technology levels in any part of the world. And all the new advances
that are emerging are immediately integrated in the reality of safety in
Argentina. (…) We are very pleased. It was a very positive show. As
always, we were visited by the most outstanding players of
professional level in terms of safety in Argentina. We have made
many contacts at professional level, and many projects have begun to
head for.” SINDVEL
Silvino Bitente, General Director SOFTEST
“We are here today with 6 companies looking for a market, in
order to open the Argentine market and the MERCOSUR as a whole. (...) We
had very good contacts not only from Argentina but also from Chile,
Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay. (...) There are many possibilities of
future businesses. We will of course take part in the next edition.”
SONY
Agustín Limón, CSA B&I Sales Manager – Broadcast &
Professional Latin America
“This year our experience is being highly positive since some of
our
most important technological partners and commercial partners are
with us in our stand and this is allowing us to attract great many
specialized companies which are interested in visual safety.” The
