The 6th edition of the South American Integrated Safety and Security Exhibition, Seguriexpo Buenos Aires, 2007, was a great success.
The exhibition received 8560 professionals and businessmen from this industry, inclusive of many people from abroad, who felt the offering was appealing, and closed good business transactions.
The overwhelming applause that crowned the fair did not mean the closure of the event, but the opening for future business undertakings between attendants and exhibitors.
The fair received 8560 visitors from this industry: businessmen, merchants, engineers, architects, technicians, etc. People from other countries came to see all the range of products offered by both local and foreign exhibitors.
The 135 companies that participated in these three very intense days praised the quality of the visitors. The target was focused on the industry, and the public proved quite interested in the product and service offering. Good business transactions were closed and links to be pursued in the future were created. This was an exhibition to consolidate business ideas and projects.
The organizers were quite happy with the results and remembered the first days of this exhibition:
“As organizers of this exhibition together with CASEL, we are quite satisfied at hosting this fair that we first started to plan out in 2003, at a time that was not that favorable to the industry or our country. This finds us staging an exhibition with more than 130 companies that show the best of the local industry and also the best from abroad, integrated into solutions for this market. This entails great satisfaction because many of objectives that we have set together with CASEL have been met. We have managed to put together an offering integrating and bringing on board all the chambers and agencies related to security and
safety”, was the comment of Fernando Gorbarán, President of Indexport Messe Frankfurt, which organized this event.
The President of the Argentinean Electronic Security Chamber, Eduardo Capelo, spoke about security, an item that has become a basic need:
“It is now one of the biggest concerns of people, and a basic social need, together with housing, education, and jobs. This is a response, a complement to this need of the people. And who are those who are setting this up? They are businessmen, who have used their time, capital and creativity to set up companies that are making this contribution. There are also engineers, with a technological level such as to apply and support new technologies; technicians, people in the area of electronics, electricity and electromechanics, who can deploy and set up all these systems. All this is the doing of Argentinean businessmen and professionals’ capital, intelligence, creativity, and
training.

“We have come to Seguriexpo for three years now and we are quite happy with it. This exhibition gathers everybody in the industry, even from neighboring countries, such as Paraguay and Uruguay. An area that gathered people’s interest and public in large numbers was the demo space. There was a live demonstration of an
Urban Public Monitoring Center. The project was staged by the Bosch Company and its purpose was to appreciate the operation of the system by cameras located at different places in the city and into the exhibition venue as well.
The Academic activity was also welcome by visitors. More than 1,000 professionals went by the four rooms set up at the exhibition to listen to the different presentations made about security- and safety-related aspects.
This 6th edition of Seguriexpo Buenos Aires covered an area of 8,000 sq mt, with 135 companies from this industry. The organizers were very happy with the results of the exhibition and are already thinking of new ideas and propositions for the coming exhibition,
