Seguriexpo 2004 exceeded all expectations.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- For three days Pavilion no. 5 of the Costa Salguero Center was a gathering point for the Integrated Security industry. 82 companies that supply and manufacture security systems were present. On a gross 3000-sq mt area, the technological novelties offered by the market today were shown. The exhibition was visited by 4402 professionals from the domestic market and 164 international professionals from 17 countries from all over the world were here to do business and set up commercial bonds. These figures largely exceeded the expectations of the organizers when the exhibition was launched in December 2003. The numbers actually exceeded provisions by 50%. The two previous editions of Seguriexpo were organized by the Cámara Argentina de Seguridad Electrónica (the Argentinean Electronic Security Chamber) under the Electronic Security Fair concept. Through the alliance with Indexport Messe Frankfurt, that exhibition added the Integrated Security concept, prompting sectors that had not been involved before to join in. Product groups involved are: Intrusion and Monitoring, CCTV, Fire, Access Control, Physical Security, IT Security, Surveillance, Measures and Countermeasures. The Chairman of the Chamber, Mr. Enrique Greenberg, an engineer, states that: “This exhibition has been successful and has surpassed previous editions. CASEL’s strategic decision to join Indexport Messe Frankfurt was one of the best decisions made in our short life. We have exceeded the number and quality of visitors... so: Happy Seguriexpo 2005!”. Academic Seminars were another important item within the framework of the exhibition. For 3 days, 40 conferences were given. Renowned professionals lectured on Integrated Security: from technical product data, to new approaches to prevent crime, to security systems to deploy. Moreover, the ALAS (Latin American Security Association)’s prestigious certification course was taught. These conferences had 1146 professional attendees. The newest feature of the fair was a “Demonstration Area”, where a virtual “country club” entrance and monitoring area was set up, with a demonstration of the manner that this type of facilities can be efficiently monitored. This area showed all crime prevention systems with state-of-the-art security technology. Visitors managed to, through modeling, look at access and perimeter control systems, CCTV, car plate digitization, fire control and alarm systems in operation. The conclusion shows a highly positive outcome, only compliments from all those involved. The expectations of the organizers were overcome as well. Fernando Gorbarán, one of Indexport Messe Frankfurt’s Managing Directors stated: “We are actually very happy for the results obtained. The idea of having an exhibition on Integrated Security has given us the possibility of gathering Security businessmen and major users of new technologies to support their businesses for three days. Our end was to create a business environment beneficial to both exhibitors and visitors, and I believe we have managed to do so. We wish to thank exhibitors deeply for their efforts to have an outstanding exhibition.” The quality of the exhibitors, professional visitors and the organization was what both exhibitors and sponsors praised alike. This is reflected in the feedback from some companies involved: Latin American Security Association This is our third year in this exhibition, in our role as sponsors. This year we have noticed a remarkable shift in the organization. We are very pleased both for the coordination and for the attendance we have seen throughout these days. As a Latin American Association, representing Electronic Security in Latin America, we would like to express our support and wish to tell you that we will be with you in the coming years. Bosch Sistemas de Seguridad Argentina We are very happy. The number of visitors has been outstanding; we have had had many interested people and prospects. From our standpoint, it has been tremendously successful. We are preparing and setting up the marketing and distribution chain for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. Thus, we are using this exhibition to make contacts with the Electronic Security industry throughout this area. DSC (Canada) Our current distributor, Getterson, Novatec y Tellex, is representing us in Argentina, and we are coming back from a number of exhibitions. We have been to Mexico and Sao Paulo and we are finding a very positive evolution in Argentina. The Argentinean market is growing again and we are very thankful for being in this exhibition. CODAS ELECTRONICA The products we sell are access control systems, primarily proximity cards and readers. The exhibition actually looks first class and, of course, better than previous editions. It shows a dedicated organization and booth preparation; they do look first class. And so is the number and the quality of the people attending the fair. Honeywell Corporation – Seguridad Electrónica My responsibility encompasses the Southern Cone: Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay. We are one of the 4 top Security companies worldwide. This is the first time we are involved in this fair and we are quite pleased. Honestly, it has overcome our expectations in relation to the type of public attending. We will probably be here again next year. L3 COMMUNICATIONS Security & Detection Systems (USA) This is our first time here and we are doing extremely well. We have had a number of interested people and I believe we will be here again next year. MUL-T-LOCK Argentina We are a new company in the country, but we are present in 100 countries worldwide. We are appearing in Argentina with high technology security products. It is our first time in this type of exhibition and the outcome has been extremely positive. We have been visited by the people we were interested in. We see the possibility of growing new business from this and of course we mean to be involved in this type of exhibition again. The organization of the exhibition has been up to the standards of the event. TECNOLOGÍA EN SISTEMAS DE SEGURIDAD We are really surprised at the number of visitors and the organization. After many years of attending fairs and dealing in the security market, the level of exhibitors, the quality of the booths and the level of the customers coming to our booth clearly shows that advertising has been well focused and that the organization is quite good. We do want to come again next year because this is very encouraging. These 3 days have been really exhausting for the number of visitors coming.
